The audience participate to the cantada sitting on chairs. They share a high degree of competence with poets, often they are improvisers themselves. Some Campidanese poetry’s lovers follow a large number of contests, traveling even for hundreds of kilometers to attend the cantadas. Many of them record the contests, which they keep in personal archives that sometimes can even include thousands of sound documents.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][nectar_cascading_images image_1_url=”3331″ image_1_offset_x_sign=”+” image_1_offset_x=”0%” image_1_offset_y_sign=”-” image_1_offset_y=”60%” image_1_rotate_sign=”+” image_1_rotate=”none” image_1_animation=”Grow In” image_1_box_shadow=”none” image_2_url=”3329″ image_2_offset_x_sign=”+” image_2_offset_x=”60%” image_2_offset_y_sign=”+” image_2_offset_y=”10%” image_2_rotate_sign=”+” image_2_rotate=”none” image_2_animation=”Grow In” image_2_box_shadow=”none” image_3_url=”3330″ image_3_offset_x_sign=”-” image_3_offset_x=”35%” image_3_offset_y_sign=”+” image_3_offset_y=”30%” image_3_rotate_sign=”+” image_3_rotate=”none” image_3_animation=”Grow In” image_3_box_shadow=”x_large_depth” image_4_offset_x_sign=”+” image_4_offset_x=”0%” image_4_offset_y_sign=”+” image_4_offset_y=”0%” image_4_rotate_sign=”+” image_4_rotate=”none” image_4_animation=”Fade In” image_4_box_shadow=”none” border_radius=”none”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” bottom_padding=”7%” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”3336″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1596543960125{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”]

The “mutetu longu”

The mutetu longu is the main meter form used by poets during the cantadas.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Lines that have a variable number between three and four accents, form the mutetus.
